Heaven on Earth
Eggental valley: a dream holiday destination
No matter the season: spending a holiday in Gummer, you can live on cloud nine every day. How? Here are a few tips:

A journey through space

Take your seat and picture yourself as an astronaut travelling through the universe at South Tyrol’s only planetarium, which is just a five-minute drive from us.

Stargazing

The sun, the moon and the planets seen through the eye of a telescope: at the Gummer observatory, the sky is at your fingertips.
A walk from planet to planet
Take a walk from Gummer to Steinegg along the Path of the Stars or along the Path of the Planets, which will lead you all the way from Mercury to Pluto. Many local walks and hikes start directly from our inn. Great, isn’t it?
The earth pyramids
Impressive clay giants up to 30 metres tall are waiting for you to discover them. Just follow the easy “Yellow Pyramids” footpath from Steinegg – it will lead you to the earth pyramids.
An open book about Earth’s history
The Bletterbach Geoparc in Aldein is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers precious insights into the depths of our mountains. Layer after layer, these rocks will tell you a story that started millions of years ago.
A glimpse into our local history
How did the farmers of old lead their daily lives? What tools did they use in their work? The Steinegg Museum is the place to answer these and other questions about the history of the local villages, arts and crafts and agriculture.
Alpenglow: watch Mt. Rosengarten turn pink
When the sun dives below the horizon, its rays set the pale rockfaces of the Dolomites alight, and Mt. Rosengarten blushes up. Or is it King Laurin’s magic spell that makes his rose garden blossom once again?
